Update from Kristin Holben, Samaritan's Purse:
"Samaritan’s Purse is continuing to work in Whatcom County. So far, volunteer teams have been able to complete work for 79 families, but there is still so much to do. We still have 168 more families who are waiting for assistance, with more requests for help coming in every day.
We invite you to come volunteer with us. We are sending out volunteers 14 years old or older Monday through Saturday. Meet at Sonlight Church in Lynden (8800 Bender Road) for a short orientation at either 7:30 am or 12:30 pm. Volunteers will then be put on a team with an experienced Team Leader and a plan for the day.
We will be taking a break during Christmastime, but will return after Christmas to get back to work! We will work through December 18th, take a break, and then resume work beginning December 28th. We plan to be here at least through January 22nd, 2022, or until we complete the work that has been requested.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve in the area, and are equally thankful for the many wonderful local volunteers, churches, schools, and organizations that have already come to serve alongside us.
We would love to talk with you!
