Flood Recovery Continues FEMA Assistance Deadline is March 7, 2022
WHATCOM COUNTY, WA – Recovery continues in parts of Whatcom County that were devasted by the 2021 November floods. On Wednesday, Jan. 5th, areas of Washington State affected by the floods were declared a major disaster, which enacted the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to step in and offer disaster assistance to those affected.
The application deadline for FEMA assistance is March 7, 2022. Residents and business owners can apply for assistance by registering online HERE or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY). Local information is available by calling the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Division of Emergency Management 1-360-676-6681. For in-person assistance, applicants can visit any of the Disaster Recovery Centers which are located at:
